Local Attractions
Locust Point Marina and Taylor's Marina are both located at the head of the Chesapeake Bay in
beautiful Cecil County, MD.
Just south of Wilmington, DE and
only an hour from Philadelphia, Lancaster or Baltimore, we are
easily accessible from I-95. This area offers
breathtaking scenery from both land and water. The area is steeped
in history and there are many opportunities to visit museums,
antique stores, eateries (featuring some of the best crabs
available), quaint shopping experiences and much more. Many of the
small towns and attractions are accessible by either land or
water.

The Chesapeake Bay is truly
beautiful and offers sailing, fishing, swimming, water skiing,
ship watching and endless miles of wooded shorelines. Elk Neck
State Park is easily accessible by water as are numerous other
areas open to the public. The photo above is the shoreline where
the C&D Canal joins the Elk River, only 10 minutes by boat
from our marinas. This area is a Wildlife
Management Area known as Welch Point. The C&D Canal is about 20 miles long and is open
to both private and commercial boats. The far end of the canal is
the Delaware River and historic New Castle, DE. New Jersey
shore points are easily accessible from this location. See our
photo slideshow for more views of the area.
